All I can say is, WOW!!! I used to go to Happy Sushi all the time but Sushi House is a lot more affordable and just as good! The first time I went there everyone was so welcoming and I felt very comfortable. I sat at the bar and all the sushi makers were so nice and talkative, especially David! Love him!! The sushi was made fast and tasted amazing and so fresh! I couldn't stop eating it, though I was incredibly full! I've made it a date with myself to go back every Friday night because I haven't gotten sick of it!

I love Sushi House! David is always so friendly and great to talk to, and it's always fun to watch my rolls being made. I'm a little strange and like to take pictures (to encourage my friends to go out and eat sushi!) and David puts up with that and makes my sushi even more pretty with decorations. The sushi is always wonderful and the servers are nice. It's a great place to go and I'll be back again very soon!

My fiance and I have been going to the Sushi House weekly for the past year and WE LOVE IT! The staff is great and you couldn't ask for better Sushi Chefs! The expansion is great, but one thing we have noticed is that the service is not good! Before the expansion, you could hardly sit down and you had soup and salad in front of you. Now, it seems like we are forever waiting and by the time they bring it, our Sushi is ready. I have heard other friends of mine comment on the service, as well. I am not sure why the service has gone downhill! It doesn't keep us from going there, but it would be nice to be served in a timely manner.

Thank you for coming back to us so often. I love to hear that customers enjoy their meal and experience at Sushi House. I am, however, sad to hear that you have been unsatisfied with the level or service since our expansion. I sincerely apologize for that. It has been a bigger challenge than I had anticipated for us to adapt to the dynamic the expansion has created. Basically one aisle has turned into 5+ aisles. This is no excuse and we are working hard to make sure all our customers are satisfied with the level of service we provide. We have had meetings and I am increasing the size of our staff to address these concerns. Also, unrelated to the expansion, but in reference to your statement about soup and salad. We have had a change in our policy, we will bring soup and salad after the customer has been seated and given their drink order. The reason for this is that we have found that some customers do not want the soup and/or salad. This is an incurred food cost because we have to toss out the unused food. Thank you again for you loyalty and we look forward to serving you on your next visit where I hope you find the level of service back to what you are accustomed to.

My family and I went to the Sushi House for Mother's Day and had a great time. I get carry out pretty often and the food is always great and the entire staff is incredibly friendly. It's the best restaurant in town.

I can guarantee I will never give another cent to this restaurant. My daughter is in from Vegas and had a taste for Sushi. I stopped in and placed a take out order at 5pm. I sat patiently for my 3 rolls and a teriyaki chicken dinner to go. Mimi was more worried about seating those customers who came in than my to go order getting cold behind the counter. There were many wait staff members rushing around but no one seemed to care about me sitting there for a total of 47 minutes. I finally asked where my order was while she passed out 2 other walk in orders. By the time I got home my food was stone cold and not very good. The sushi was very mediorcre. I will never ever go back. The staff was unfriendly and Mimi expecially was short and rude. I will continue to go out of my way and give Shiro's my sushi business. Good luck paying for the new renovations if you can't handle the customers. Oh by the way...Mimi...go buy a personality.

This is Simon, the owner of Sushi House. I feel extremely bad about your recent experience at Sushi House. The time you had to wait is not acceptable. After reading your comment, I immediately communicated my disapproval to my wait staff and instilled my concern about the proper treatment of all our valuable customers. First, I hope you can accept my sincere apology. This makes me very sad, because I want every customer to leave with a good impression and hope that they will return. Second, I would very much like to make this up to you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to fix this for you and I will do my best to make sure that happens. I am 14 years old and my family and I have been going to Sushi House for almost 2 and a half years. We love the atmosphere, the food, and the friendly staff. We have all become hooked on sushi. Sushi House definitely has the best Sushi in Metro Detroit!

Congratulations on the renovations you made. Sushi House is by far the best sushi around and I have been going there for a long time. Mimi and the other wait staff are always so friendly and always put a smile on my face. I would like to know how I can get a sushi roll named after me:) haha. That has always been a dream of mine. We absolutely love sushi house! Best sushi in Michigan!! We are frequent guests and have been making the 25 minute commute from Dearborn for the last few years. Can't wait to move to Farmington Hills soon so we're very close to Sushi House and we can come even more:)

I went to Sushi House for the first time 6 days ago and ever since then, I have been so impressed by their delicious sushi, that I've been there 4 times since. I'm even ordering sushi for lunch through the online take-out option right now. Sushi House has the most amazing sushi I've ever tasted, nice and friendly service, and the online take-out option is phenomenal. I'm so glad to have been introduced to what is now my favorite restaurant!

Sushi House is our favorite restaurant. Their sushi is absolutely delicious and when we travel outside of Metro Detroit, the others just don't compare. In addition, the customer service and friendliness of the staff makes us feel that we are dining with friends. They even remember how we like dishes prepared without even asking...that's amazing!

I have been a very loyal Sushi House costumer for years. All the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and the sushi is the absolute BEST.
Thank you for your patronage. We greatly value our customers.

That being said, I was very disappointed to see the new renovations. I loved looking at the pictures of different costumers of the years, and was very sad to see them gone. Among the many pictures, was one of my friend’s mom. She passed away last April, and both she and I thought it was special that her picture was up at our favorite sushi place. I know she would really LOVE to have that picture, or at least a copy.
These pictures are very important to us. Not only are they our customers, but these pictures represent our history. The pictures will be back up, we plan to put all the pictures in a digital picture frame.

The lady I talked to today, mentioned that all the pictures were on the website? I checked. They aren't ALL up yet, or at least not the picture of her mom. Will the pictures all is on the website? If not, do you still have the originals? I know that picture would mean a lot to her, and I would be willing to pay for it. If need be.
We are working on scanning all the pictures and getting them up on the website and the new digital picture frame. Please stop in, ask for Simon, and I am sure we can find the picture of your friend's Mother, and I would be happy to make a copy for you.

I've been to Sushi House three times now, each time the food and service has been wonderful! The dining area is usually packed, but it is worth the wait. Carry out is always fast and just as wonderful. I love Sushi House!!!!

I've been to many sushi places and this is still my favorite. It is a very popular place with a welcoming atmosphere. Great service, food (both sushi AND entrees), price and decor. You can tell there are many regulars. I used to come once a week but unfortunately don't live close anymore.

My grandma is an off-the-boat type of japanese person and she loves this place. Said it was the most authentic sushi restaurant she's been to in Michigan.

OMG!!!! I came after my cousin has been raving about this Sushi House in Farmington being the best sushi shes ever had and i had to come and finally try it! ......and the result...I LOVE it, it's awesome sushi, I've tried a lot of different restaurants and this is pretty great and the prices are a plus!!! I have enjoyed your sushi soo many times - and have been craving it since I moved to Germany. You'd think living in Duesseldorf, a city with the biggest Japanese community outside of Japan, I could get decent sushi here. Well, I can't. I haven't been able to find a sushi restaurant that would match the delicious sushi, the friendly service and the excellent prices you offer at Sushi House. I hope I can visit Michigan soon again.

I used to live in and go to school in Livonia. One day I was craving sushi and didn't feel like going out to Twelve Oaks or to an expensive place, so my friend took me to Sushi House. Since then, I've fallen in love with the place. I took my boyfriend and the first few times he got just Beef Teriyaki. I kept bugging him to try my California roll and he kept saying no (he had a bad expierence with some bad sushi). Finally, he gave in, and now he will eat almost anything on the menu! For a while, we were up there three or four times a week for almost half a year! I still love to come out there and eat there. EVERYTHING is good. And its the best I've ever tried! Keep up the great work! All my friends know about you guys! \(^.^)/

Helllllllo,,I am new to this whole sushi world. I have only had it a few times. Once at Happy Sushi in Novi, and once out in Royal Oak. Each time I loved it, but I have been with others who have ordered so I am not quite sure how to go about it. What do you recommend from here. My mom and I spent a few years looking for good sushi resaurants, and we finally came across The Sushi House. The presentation of the sushi was beautiful, and the taste was even better. It felt as if it were melting in our mouths. I wanted to personally say that I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, and it really does make me feel as if I were visiting Japan. Sorry it's been so long since my last post. In response to the post by Andy from Farmington Hills, I'm not sure what you mean. MiYoung seems to me to be her same happy, bubbly self. And a major babe, to boot. Have you seen what she's done to her hair recently? What a stunner. Sure wish I could work up the nerve to ask her out on a date. Perhaps our illustrious WebMaster could find out for me (and Don. M. from Farmington Hills, if he's still out there) if she's currently seeing anyone?

Anyhow, all the food, not just the Sushi, at The Farmington Sushi House is fantastic. Many thanks to Simon for introducing me to so many new things that I wouldn't have dreamed of trying on my own. The entire staff is so welcoming that I'm beginning to feel almost like a family member.

I'm intentionally not purchasing the "Dollar Sushi Everyday" Membership, since I can afford to pay full price when I eat there on non-Dollar-Sushi days; also I like to think that I'm helping the place stay profitable, which (hopefully) means it'll stay open for a LONG time.

Any chance that there'll be Sushi House merchandise available for purchase soon? T-shirts, sweat jackets, bumper stickers, coffee mugs, etcetera? My hunch is that they'd be a big hit with the regulars, and a great source of secondary advertising as well! George! With your clever notes you have got Miyoung intrigued. Sushi House was pretty good the first time I went. But the second visit that I was there with a few friends- you guys messed up on their orders. it was pretty upsetting since they asked twice if that was what they ordered. One of the ladies came back to us after REALLY finding out what she was serving and just laughed (alone) and left. Besides that experience, Sushi-house holds the #2 place for sushi on my list!!

The Yi Family-owned sushi house is were my girlfriend and I go to enjoy the best Japanese and Koren food at the lowest price. When you walk into the "Sushi House", you are greeted as family with a Japanese yell of "ilashiemasai"! meaning "Welcome in". You can never find a better place for service and quality food. The Yi family took the time to learn English and provide a wounderful service for our community. Everyone seems to work 7 days a week, what dedication. My advice Ask for "Kim-chi" (Hot and spicy cabbage) with a bite of rice, it's great if you like hot hot hot Koren cabbage. I love it! We Thank You so much for your efforts.
