Love the food, its always been delicious. If I am on that side of town and want sushi this is my go to. I tried the online ordering tonight. Part of my order was a tuna roll and in the comments I requested the roll to be tempura battered/fried and topped with eel sauce. I didnt see any other spot to make this request and made sure to add that any extra charges were fine. I got home only to find a normal tuna roll, none of the requested changes. Maybe better clarification where these types of changes can be made? Or add the option for adding tempura batter or sauces to rolls? The rest of your food was great.

I really like the Michigan special sushi roll. I would ask though that you pay attention to the special requests section of online orders. I asked for "no wasabi" and you put it in my container anyway. The roll toppled on its side and by the time I reached my job, wasabi Spread to all the center pieces of my sushi. My mouth is on fire! :(

Your New hours are not very convenient for me and my friends. If we order sushi on-line which is very convenient, and then we have to wait for 30-40m minutes for you to open for the night shift, that will not work for us and we will need to find another location to buy our sushi. You are not the only people selling sushi.

I don't get sushi from anywhere else anymore because I know Sushi House will never fail to sell me something perfect and delicious! I'm in love with their tofu steak, as well as their mochi icecream! Their staff is always so friendly and patient, something you dont neccesarily see anywhere else these days, and I especially love that they play some of my favorite kpop artists while I'm there, but of course that's just personal preference :)

The firecracker roll is the best I have ever tasted, I absolutely love this place. The staff is polite and the service is quick. There are other sushi restaurants closer to me but I drive 20 minutes to come here. Just wished they served Hitachi rice.

The sushi we order is always amazing I cannot say enough great things about that. Today we ordered online as usual and we asked for No Ginger with the sushi. What we received was a lot of Ginger and no Wasabi. The food was great but it would have been nice if the order came correct. Placed an online order approximately 10:00 am. Was called to verify order. Arrived at 12:15 pm to pick up order after driving a half hour. Went to pay with my debit card and was told machine was down. $17 order and only had $9 on me. After waiting another 10 minutes to be told sorry can't do anything, I had to leave and drive 30 minutes back. Wasted lunch trip and no sushi from what I felt was one of the best sushi plces I have ever been to.

It's been a while since I had last enjoyed your fine products. Years actually. I always loved the tuna and salmon. Well somewhere between my last visit and present day, I have developed a nut allergy. I tried to navigate your menu and website to see if I could find any allergen information but to no avail. I was wondering if you could take the time to respond to this inquiry because I was very fond of your sushi and am not sure if it is safe for me to consume. Are tree nuts or peanuts in your kitchen? Are there dishes that uses the items or ingredients that come from facilities that contain these allergens. There have been many types of cuisine I've had to give up on, like Thai food, various places that cook in peanut oil. I was hoping that I could finally get confirmation on where tree and/or peanuts play a role in Sushi House's culinary operations.

Although I enjoyed the sushi when it was finally ready, I do not understand why it took 40 minutes from the time that I received e-mail verification of my online order until it was ready. I've been coming here for years, I usually get carry out due to a busy schedule, but it's always a treat to dine in as well. Food and sushi has always been consistent and fresh. But I've noticed that the last few times when I have ordered one of my favorite roll, "David's Roll" the quality has not been consistent, a few times it was sloppy and the toppings tasted watered down. I'm not sure if there has been a change in sushi chefs or just training new personnel. :-/
Overall, I love this place and will continue to come here for lunch and dinner.

I just have to say that I have traveled a lot, I have tried sushi in NY, I currently live in Atlanta, GA and still there is no better sushi in the United States than Sushi House. Every time I come back to Michigan to visit my family I make sure that I visit the Sushi House at least twice! They have the MOST amazing Spicy Tuna Roll I have ever had in my whole life. And their California Rolls are to die for. If you want the best tasting sushi you have got to try them. I remember when they had a smaller restaurant and now it has expanded!!!! I am so happy to see this because it means that I am not the only one who feels this way.

Years ago I used to wonder how a place like Sushi House could still be in business, then over the past three years I became obsessed with Japanese food and culture; mainly because of watching anime (I know, typical stereotype). So for my confirmation, I went to your restaurant and tried sushi for the second time -- the first was from Kroger and it wasn't the best -- and I LOVED IT!!!! Best sushi ever!!! Its a huge bonus because the staff is amazing!! I just wanted to thank you all for wonderful food, great staff, and putting up with an otaku like me!!! p.s. I know you sell Ramune -- i get it every time i go here -- but it would be absolutely amazing if you could sell Pocky too!!! Plus if you ever need any more employees I would love to work here!!! I am a newbie when it comes to sushi. The first time I had it was a bad experience and I swore I would never eat it again. Then my sister convinced me to try the sushi house and it was a much better experience now it's the only place I go the food is reasonably priced, the staff is amazing we bring my 2 year old nephew there allot and all the girls there make time to stop by the table and say hi to him and play with him a bit which honestly makes our dinning experience that much better because they help entertain him so we can eat. I can't wait to go there tomorrow for dinner!

I have been to the Sushi House twice now and the quality of food has not disappointed me yet! I have recommended the place to family and friends. I can only come to the restaurant every once in a while because I'm actually from Shelby Township but occasionally have doctor appointments not too far from the Sushi House. With that being said I was there earlier today and received superb service from who I think was Susan and from Mimi. Thank you for that. It was my niece's first time ever eating Japanese cuisine and she thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. I would like to apologize to who I think is Susan and to Mimi. I realized after I left that I should of left a bigger tip. I usually don't make that mistake but I was having an off day. The next time I come to your restaurant I will specifically ask for you two so I can make up for today's stupidity. Please accept my apology and keep up the superb service and excellent food.

I would like to say that my Wife and I love Sushi House. I might be biased because this is the first venue where she has eaten Sushi. I started eating sushi in South Florida. It is a very clean restaurant and I love this. Also they are children friendly. I know this because our Daughter will not/can not sit still when we come to eat there. We do try to come after the lunch or Dinner rush to avoid this or we just order takeout. I have my favorites there which is usually the Dinner combo B. My wife will eat some of it, but she prefers the vegetarian dishes. With that being said, could you let us know of any outstanding vegetarian dishes she might enjoy? Thanks a bunch. See you soon.

As for vegetarian dishes, two of our most popular are the Vegetarian Lunch Box and the Vegetarian Dinner. The lunch box is your choice of any two items from the following...Cucumber Roll, Vegetable Tempura, Oshitashi, Age Dashi Tofu, Inari(3pcs), Seaweed, Edamame. The dinner is any three of the same choices, but also includes Pickled Radish Roll, as addition item choice.

I placed the order online at about 8:35pm. I did not receive the email confirming my order until after 10pm! I waited until after 9pm and called in to place the order (letting them know i tried to place order online but it did not go through). When i arrived to pick up my order they gave me the online order. And the order I called in was also prepared. The online ordering definitely needs improvement and also staff needs to listen better when customers call in to help ensure errors like that do not occur. I love the sushi and will be back but I will not use the online ordering in the future.

At present our system relies on the Internet to deliver your email confirmation and the order to our restaurant. It appears in this case that the restaurant did recieve your order, but the email confirmation was delayed on your end. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the servers and hosting sites our customers use to recieve emails. We are looking into ways to provide a more reliable way to ensure the order is recieved on both sides. I will also talk to my manager and staff instructing them to be more diligent with our take out orders.

The food is great and the service is awesome. We love seeing Nakita and Lanie. We love to see Nakita and Lanie when they welcome us with their beautiful smiles. These two ladies are the best! They're one of the reasons why we love it here...

A friend and I went to Sushi House last night and were disappointed in the service. The food was quite good as usual, but this is the second time in two months that we have had less than acceptable service. My tea was replenished once, and we were asked once how the food was, and then we were left completely alone. Once we had finished eating, we sat for at least 10 minutes without anyone coming to our table with either the bill or carryout containers. My friend finally went to the front counter and got us the containers, we packed up our food, and then someone finally came with out check--that we took up to the counter and paid. Mind you, there were customers around us who had received their bills and paid at their table and left, all while we were waiting.
As I said earlier, the last time we were there, the service was pretty poor, too, but we were there around 4:00 and put it down to a possible change of shift. However, when my friend asked about a menu item, had her question answered by waitstaff, and then said that is what she'll have, the waitress just walked away.
I really don't understand this behavior. We both tip 20% minimum--except last night--and we are just your average diner who enjoys the food that Sushi House provides, pays the bill, leaves a good tip, and doesn't linger. We were very disappointed.

I have been customer ever since they open. I must admit the quality of the service and food has gone down the hill. After yesterdays experience 3/25/2012. I will never be customer to Sushi house. The staff is disrespectful, rude and very bad service. Me and My friends come there at least once or twice a week. Yesterday 3 of us went to eat sushi. We usually sit in the same corner booth we have been since the new place opened. The booths was pure empty and the restaurant was not even packed at all. She says sorry its reserved. I said no problem but what upset me was when we were waiting on the table to be clean a party of 4 people came and she sat them right at the booth. She did not ask the for name or do you reservations. All she asked how many people and they replied 4 and she said OK sit at the corner booth which we requested. So I called over David the owners son and mentioned the situation to him. I guess he spoke with her and all she did was give me dirty looks the whole night and my friends all saw her doing it. I don't know what she told the other waitress that was helping but she was so rude and disrespectful to us after they spoke. She took are order for me and my 3 friends, when she brought our food out a platter with about 20 rolls she made disrespectful and trying to make fun of me comment. She said is this only your food or are you going to share with the other. When she her self put in our order for us. My friends were even upset about the comment. Trying to put the plate right in front of my face. I was almost ready to throw it back in her face . How she kept saying it and pushing the big plate in my face. I did not say word or anything. After that not one waitress came by to us and asked did you need anything else the whole night. They walked by us over 50 times and would not come to our table. We even left our empty cups for refills on the corner where it was very visible they still did not come to us. After we were done eat for 20 min they still haven't came. So I waived David the owners son. To come to me instead he sent a waitress and she finally brought my bill. I paid my bill but left no tip at all. I usually always leave 25-35%. I told David my situation and said this would be the last time me and my friends ever came here and never recommend it to any one after this situation. Not all was is it packed or that busy for the bad and disrespectful service.

I have been in California for the past month dealing with personal matters. I just got back and found out about the problems you had with my staff. I know you talked to David, but there was another manager there, James, that could have and should have addressed your issue immediately. Due to some confusion and the limited communication, your comment was unfortunately delayed. I have already talked to my staff about their conduct and given them guidance about table reservations...there was no reason why you should not have sat at your usual table. None of these are valid excuses, and I would very much like to make this up to you. I take my customer feedback very seriously. We do post the comments we receive, and I hope you realize that when we get a comment that needs attention...we like the chance to follow through and hopefully amend any short comings on our part before we post them on the website (all of your comments will be included).

That day I also purchased a dollar sushi card that I did not even get to use at all because of after the incident. Me and my friends liked coming there, we were there at least 2 times a week. I just wanted to be respected not about the seating but about the comment she said in-front of my friends when she was the one that took my order. Trying to embarrass me. Because I mentioned seating situation to David your son. All I ask for is respect. Honestly Every I come there I never tip less 25% to your staff. Should not been treated like that. A couple friends and I went to your restaurant last night for the first time since your remodel (I know, way too long since we've been there) and we were impressed with your new space! It is beautiful. We sat at the bar and had a great time. David was very helpful and had a great sense of humor. The ladies were very attentive and so nice! Needless to say, the food is still wonderful. It was a great dining experience!
A big surprise was the Tofu House that was added! My husband and I love Korean food and haven't found a good restaurant near us, so when I told him about your new restaurant, he was very happy to hear about it. We will be there soon!
Thank you very much for remaining the best sushi restaurant in the area. Far too often, when a restaurant expands, the food becomes less than it was, but that is not the case with you. Thank you again for a great dining experience!

I have been to Sushi House probably over 100 times, and I try to bring someone new with me every time to help spread the word! And so far everyone I bring loves this place!
I would also like to say a big thank you to every staff member for always being so nice, inviting, and helpful! Everyone is so attentive and sweet! Your customer service deserves recognition because it is excellent! Which is hard to come by these days! Keep up the great work!

I have not been to Sushi house in a very long time (like 8 years). My brother always rants and raves about how good it is. I decided to take my sister, who is very picky. She warned me that she was really nervous about liking her meal. I reassured her telling her "Dan loves this place". I ordered my favorite California Rolls. She decided to get Avocado and Cucumber Rolls and asked to add cream cheese.After hearing her order those two rolls, I decided I was going to have the same thing also. We enjoyed our soup and salad. Still hesistent, our meal showed up. She started eating and couldn't stop. Our meal was amazing. It was so fresh. She asked me if we could go again soon. Of course I said yes. I was so happy to have such a great meal. I am so happy that i was able to find a place that had good, fresh food, that she will eat.
I am very interested to try soy paper instead of seaweed. I hear it is very good.

My boyfriend Rob and I have been going to Sushi house for some time now. We have watched them transform and grow over the last few years, but the quality and excellence has always stayed up to par. Sushi house is not only our favorite sushi joint, but also our favorite restaurant. Whenever we try a new sushi place, we always compare it to Sushi House. They have yet to lose a challenge.
I'm a huge fan of the Redwing Roll, and Rob greatly enjoys your Cherry Blossom. Your Meso soup is the best I've ever had, and I often crave it, We introduce our closest friends to the world of sushi at your establishment, and they've never left unsatisfied.

I am an absolute sushi fanatic who has been to many sushi places all over the country and I LOVE Sushi House! Even despite the increase, your prices are highly competitive, and I feel like I'm getting a great deal every time I order. Considering how the price of everything seems to be going up these days, I'm really impressed that you guys manage to maintain such a reasonable price range, and I personally really appreciate it as a sushi-lover on a budget. I have sat down to eat and gotten take-out numerous times and I have never had a bad experience. Being able to order online at home or from work and get in and out quickly with my food is invaluable to me. So, not only do you have great prices, but your service has never let me down! Not to mention you don't close in the afternoon for a couple of hours on weekdays like most other sushi restaurants seem to do. So whatever my schedule might be, I can always count on Sushi House. Yes, we do sell our Miso dressing. It is $3.00 per pint.
The main ingredients are Sesame Seeds and Miso. Also, just so you know, we do not use peanuts.
Please ask for it next time you visit, I will give one pint of Miso dressing on me.

We recently introduced some more of our friends to your restaurant, and have gotten them hooked as well. I wish it was possible for you guys to open up another Sushi House around the Troy area, where I live! :( Sometimes the drive is too far for us when we feel like eating at your restaurant every day! Also, I wanted to say your Miso Soup and the dressing for your salad (the peanut butter/sesame dressing) is delicious!! I have found my love for sushi within this past year. I visit sushi house at least once a week, if not more! It is by far the best sushi selection and quality in the area. I never saw the old sushi house before the expansion, but the restaurant is very nice compared to other smaller restaurants. The staff works together and makes sure every customer is taken care of promptly. Even though there has been a price increase, it has not stopped us from being a regular visitor! I especially love the menus that have PICTURES and descriptions. The online menus and ordering are also very convenient when ordering take out.
If you want the best sushi, soup, salad, and atmosphere in town, go to Sushi House!!! Thank you for making my new sushi experience very tasteful!

Hi Sushi House! Have a question for you - I have been eating at your restaurant since you opened and you are the BEST! Today, however, we got a carry out and I ordered Chicken Carage appetizer and it was totally different than we always get. Usually, they are longer strips lightly breaded and today, they looked like Burger King chicken nuggets. Help! My daughter and son-in-law just ate there last week and it was the usual dish...is this something new or can I count on the old type of Carage in the future? I received your email about the style of chicken in the Chicken Carage being different. Our initial thought was that our customers would prefer the larger bite size pieces as opposed to the longer strips.
Well, it appears that several customers, including yourself, do prefer the previous style with the longer strips...so moving forward we are going back to that style.

I enjoyed the special rolls, especially the WOW. It was delicious and tasted so fresh. I do admit that the seaweed salad is not fully descriptive how it's in a very very small portion. Other than that I had a wonderful experience. I am not sure if the soup and salad are complimentary for each customer or it's either or for each customer, but that was tasty too. Overall, I would recommend this sushi restaurant to all my friends and family. :)

Even with the recent price increases on some items, the sushi is still the best and least expensive that I have found around this area. I do miss the descriptions of the more common rolls that the old menu used to have... maybe I'm just not getting all of the menus, but the last few times I've been in I didn't see a description of the non-special rolls.

I placed a take out order for Tempura Donburi & Chicken Teriyaki today (1/29), and we were disappointed. The Tempura Donburi was missing "Shrimp Tempura"! This is my second time ordering from you, and we enjoyed the food from last time. Hence my second order today. I was so looking forward to having the Shrimp Tempura. I phoned immediately, and talked to Jinju. She promised us a credit, but we will see if this verbal promise hold up when I go back...

All I can say is, WOW!!! I used to go to Happy Sushi all the time but Sushi House is a lot more affordable and just as good! The first time I went there everyone was so welcoming and I felt very comfortable. I sat at the bar and all the sushi makers were so nice and talkative, especially David! Love him!! The sushi was made fast and tasted amazing and so fresh! I couldn't stop eating it, though I was incredibly full! I've made it a date with myself to go back every Friday night because I haven't gotten sick of it!

My fiance and I have been going to the Sushi House weekly for the past year and WE LOVE IT! The staff is great and you couldn't ask for better Sushi Chefs! The expansion is great, but one thing we have noticed is that the service is not good! Before the expansion, you could hardly sit down and you had soup and salad in front of you. Now, it seems like we are forever waiting and by the time they bring it, our Sushi is ready. I have heard other friends of mine comment on the service, as well. I am not sure why the service has gone downhill! It doesn't keep us from going there, but it would be nice to be served in a timely manner.

Thank you for coming back to us so often. I love to hear that customers enjoy their meal and experience at Sushi House. I am, however, sad to hear that you have been unsatisfied with the level or service since our expansion. I sincerely apologize for that. It has been a bigger challenge than I had anticipated for us to adapt to the dynamic the expansion has created. Basically one aisle has turned into 5+ aisles. This is no excuse and we are working hard to make sure all our customers are satisfied with the level of service we provide. We have had meetings and I am increasing the size of our staff to address these concerns. Also, unrelated to the expansion, but in reference to your statement about soup and salad. We have had a change in our policy, we will bring soup and salad after the customer has been seated and given their drink order. The reason for this is that we have found that some customers do not want the soup and/or salad. This is an incurred food cost because we have to toss out the unused food. Thank you again for you loyalty and we look forward to serving you on your next visit where I hope you find the level of service back to what you are accustomed to.

I can guarantee I will never give another cent to this restaurant. My daughter is in from Vegas and had a taste for Sushi. I stopped in and placed a take out order at 5pm. I sat patiently for my 3 rolls and a teriyaki chicken dinner to go. Mimi was more worried about seating those customers who came in than my to go order getting cold behind the counter. There were many wait staff members rushing around but no one seemed to care about me sitting there for a total of 47 minutes. I finally asked where my order was while she passed out 2 other walk in orders. By the time I got home my food was stone cold and not very good. The sushi was very mediorcre. I will never ever go back. The staff was unfriendly and Mimi expecially was short and rude. I will continue to go out of my way and give Shiro's my sushi business. Good luck paying for the new renovations if you can't handle the customers. Oh by the way...Mimi...go buy a personality.

That being said, I was very disappointed to see the new renovations. I loved looking at the pictures of different costumers of the years, and was very sad to see them gone. Among the many pictures, was one of my friend's mom. She passed away last April, and both she and I thought it was special that her picture was up at our favorite sushi place. I know she would really LOVE to have that picture, or at least a copy.
These pictures are very important to us. Not only are they our customers, but these pictures represent our history. The pictures will be back up, we plan to put all the pictures in a digital picture frame.
The lady I talked to today, mentioned that all the pictures were on the website? I checked. They aren't ALL up yet, or at least not the picture of her mom. Will the pictures all is on the website? If not, do you still have the originals? I know that picture would mean a lot to her, and I would be willing to pay for it. If need be.
We are working on scanning all the pictures and getting them up on the website and the new digital picture frame. Please stop in, ask for Simon, and I am sure we can find the picture of your friend's Mother, and I would be happy to make a copy for you.

I've been to Sushi House three times now, each time the food and service has been wonderful!
The dining area is usually packed, but it is worth the wait. Carry out is always fast and
just as wonderful. I love Sushi House!!!!

I've been to many sushi places and this is still my favorite. It is a very popular place with a welcoming atmosphere. Great service, food (both sushi AND entrees), price and decor. You can tell there are many regulars. I used to come once a week but unfortunately don't live close anymore.

My grandma is an off-the-boat type of japanese person and she loves this place. Said it was the most authentic sushi restaurant she's been to in Michigan.

OMG!!!! I came after my cousin has been raving about this Sushi House in Farmington being the best sushi shes ever had and i had to come and finally try it! ......and the result...I LOVE it, it's awesome sushi, I've tried a lot of different restaurants and this is pretty great and the prices are a plus!!! Summer roll with spicy tako (Dentist Roll...;-) ) has to be added to the customer created rolls! It is a great lo-carb alternative and taste great!

I have enjoyed your sushi soo many times - and have been craving it since I moved to Germany. You'd think living in Duesseldorf, a city with the biggest Japanese community outside of Japan, I could get decent sushi here. Well, I can't. I haven't been able to find a sushi restaurant that would match the delicious sushi, the friendly service and the excellent prices you offer at Sushi House. I hope I can visit Michigan soon again.

Best sushi EVER. A really nice and friendly environment, everyone is always smiling. Service is great and my friends and I like to treat ourselves as often as possible. The crunch roll is my all time fav and the green tea tempura ice cream is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I used to live in and go to school in Livonia. One day I was craving sushi and didn't feel like going out to Twelve Oaks or to an expensive place, so my friend took me to Sushi House. Since then, I've fallen in love with the place. I took my boyfriend and the first few times he got just Beef Teriyaki. I kept bugging him to try my California roll and he kept saying no (he had a bad expierence with some bad sushi). Finally, he gave in, and now he will eat almost anything on the menu! For a while, we were up there three or four times a week for almost half a year! I still love to come out there and eat there. EVERYTHING is good. And its the best I've ever tried! Keep up the great work! All my friends know about you guys! \(^.^)/

Thursday... WOW... What a great place to dine and the Sushi Chef's are so nice. When
I enter the Sushi House I feel like a blind dog in a meat factory... The fare is over
